Vitamin C - Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is a vital ingredient for protecting your teeth, gum, and bones. Its deficiency could lead to scurvy and bleeding gums. Citrus fruits, tomato, broccoli, and green vegetables are important sources of C vitamin.

Vitamin E - Commonly called tocopherol, this fat soluble vitamin occurs naturally in egg yolk, butter, vegetable oils, milk, fish, leafy vegetables, nuts, corn and wheat. Vitamin E prevents sterility and helps developing immunity.

Vitamin K - Vitamin K is found in spinach, tomato, cabbage, and soy bean among vegetables. Vitamin K aids in healthy development of tissues and bones. It also helps in creating proteins for blood clots. Inadequate level of vitamin K could lead to longer clotting time.

Minerals and their Benefits


Minerals are important for human body as it is an active ingredient in creating hormones, building bones, and regulating the heart beat. Calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, and sulphur are the macro-minerals required by your body system. Iron, copper, manganese, zinc, iodine, selenium, and cobalt are minerals needed in trace quantities. Mineral intake in appropriate amounts could be ensured through regular doses of mineral supplements.
